RESOURCES & SERVICES

We encourage local organizations to come together to offer varied resources that are directly related to caregiving including but certainly not limited to self-care, keeping the care recipient safe at home, managing emotional and physical stresses of caregiving, making end-of-life decisions, managing care recipient’s challenging behaviors, managing care recipient’s incontinence problems, and finding non-English language educational materials.

With these resources and services readily accessible, this event offers the opportunity for caregivers to talk and discuss resource availability directly with leaders and social workers in the caregiving and aging community and to attend free seminars with social workers, which research shows is one of the most effective forms of stress relief for caregivers (1).

Here's our list of vendors who will be participating this year!

United Way

Our Mission:

Uniting our community to strengthen lives through education, health, and financial independence.

Our Goals:

In 2008, United Way World Wide initiated a 10-year program designed to achieve the following goals by 2018:

  • Improve education, and cut the number of high school dropouts — 1.2 million students, every year — in half.

  • Help people achieve financial independence, and get 1.9 million working families — half the number of lower-income families who are financially unstable — on the road to economic independence.

  • Promote healthy lives, and increase by one-third the number of youth and adults who are healthy and avoid risky behaviors.

These goals are ambitious, but with your help, and by utilizing our core strengths — a national network, committed partners and public engagement capacity — we can achieve them.

Vision:

The United Way of Stanislaus County partners with local organizations...

...that work to advance the common good by focusing on education, income and health. These are the building blocks for a successful life: a quality education and programs that lead to helping children and youth achieve their potential; enough income to meet a family's basic needs and establish financial stability; and programs that improve community health and family safety.

United Way of Stanislaus County is dedicated to leading the United Way movement creating long-lasting community change by addressing the underlying causes of the most significant local issues. It takes everyone in the community working together to create a brighter future. So we bring together people from all across the community-government, business, faith groups, nonprofits, the labor movement, ordinary citizens-to tackle the issues. Because we all win when a child succeeds in school, when a family becomes financially stable, when people have good health.

Blom & Associates

In many ways financial planning is a lot like assembling a jigsaw puzzle, only the pieces aren't available all at once, they come to be over the course of time. The puzzle itself represents the journey of life and the puzzle pieces represent the myriad of financial decisions that must be made along the way. Inevitably, there will be times when you're unsure how the various puzzle pieces in front of you fit together and the world or markets may not exactly be going along with your plans.

At Blom & Associates, we believe a successful financial life does not happen by chance, it happens by choice. For those reasons, we've developed and refined a process that helps our clients put the financial puzzle pieces together over the course of their lives. As advisors, we know people crave a relationship with a financial professional they can trust who will be in their corner when times are rough.

We take great joy in being our client's financial guide and advocate on that journey toward a lasting and secure retirement. In this way, we become more than planners, but partners in helping our clients navigate the financial challenges of life.
